Alban Bailly is a versatile musician who thrives at the crossroads of structure and free forms. With a diverse background spanning various genres, he blends the worlds of acoustic and technology through both compositions and improvisations.

His approach is marked by non-conventional precision and a minimalist aesthetic. Over the years, his musical journey has taken him across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, where he has scored films and dance works, and performed extensively with original bands, dance ensembles, theater productions, and improvisation groups.

After two decades of living and working in the United States, he now resides in Lyon, France.

Alban Bailly est un musicien polyvalent qui s’épanouit à la croisée de la structure et des formes ouvertes.
Fort d’un parcours éclectique à travers de nombreux genres, il relie les mondes de l’acoustique et de la technologie au fil de ses compositions et improvisations.

Son approche se distingue par une précision non conventionnelle et une esthétique souvent minimaliste. Au cours de sa carrière, il a parcouru l’Europe, l’Asie et les Amériques, composant pour le cinéma et la danse, et se produisant avec des groupes originaux, des compagnies de danse, des troupes de théâtre et des ensembles d’improvisation.

Après avoir vécu et travaillé pendant vingt ans aux États-Unis, il réside aujourd’hui à Lyon, en France.
